Hi! My name is Ashley and I truly feel blessed to have found my calling in life. At the age of 27, after the birth of my daughter, I found myself seeing a pelvic floor PT. That experience has left me with a passion to help others live their best life yet! I look forward to meeting with you and together we can navigate through your concerns, establish goals. maximize function and quality of LIFE!
Many people do not realize where their pelvic floor muscles are located. The position we assume when voiding our bladder or bowel can have important impacts on our pelvic health. Treatment provided by a pelvic floor therapist often leads to unexpected benefits. We will start with education so you better understand why you are experiencing your specific symptoms.
Therapists evaluate overall posture as well as body position when standing, walking, and sitting. We will assess whether your posture and movements are contributing to pelvic dysfunction/pain.
This type of massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach the deepest layers of muscle and fascia to break up scar tissue and manually release muscle "knots" and painful, rigid tissue.
This includes internal and external mobilization of soft tissue and joints. This can include but is not limited to manual stretching, manual distraction, muscle energy techniques, trigger point release (both internal and external) etc.
We use this functional tool for pelvic floor rehabilitation. An external sensor is placed to help give us objective findings; it assists in relaxing, retraining and strengthening the muscles of the pelvic floor muscles.
Advanced physical therapy techniques can help heal the pelvic region and improve the way we feel about our bodies.
